Energy & grids
Optimising electric-vehicle charging schedules across the grid: balancing demand, grid capacity and cost as the number of variables explodes.

Before you invest in quantum, know where it creates value. We identify the business cases where quantum and hybrid methods can beat today’s solutions, then build and test the algorithms that prove it. Independent of any hardware or software vendor.
For energy, chemical and financial companies.
The challenge
Every R&D leader hears that quantum will change their industry. Few can say where, when, or at what cost.
Today’s quantum computers deliver value only when combined with classical computing and AI.
Quantum algorithms need specialists that most companies don’t have, and can’t easily hire.
It’s hard to tell which problems quantum can solve better than your current methods, and which it can’t.
Many quantum technologies are competing, and no one knows which will fit your problems best.
You don’t need more hype. You need evidence.
Our approach
We start where you do: with a business problem and the solution you use today. Then we find out, with evidence, whether quantum can do better.
We screen your use cases and compare quantum, hybrid and classical/AI approaches on performance, cost and time to value.
We adapt existing quantum algorithms to your problem, or develop new ones where none exist yet.
We run and compare algorithms on different quantum technologies and tools, so the choice fits your problem, not a vendor’s roadmap.
You get a clear recommendation in business terms. We then help you move the use cases that work towards implementation, as your extended quantum R&D team.
If classical or AI methods are the better answer, we’ll tell you. That’s part of the job.
Request a feasibility assessmentWhy Helenium Quantum
Our founders have more than 20 years in finance and renewable energy. We know how businesses decide to adopt new technology, what implementation really costs, and how a theoretical advantage can disappear in practice. So we judge quantum the way your board will.
Quantum, AI and high-performance computing, alone or combined. We are independent of hardware and software vendors, and we never claim quantum beats classical methods everywhere. If it doesn’t give you an edge, you’ll hear it from us first.
Our team spans the whole quantum value chain, from hardware to software. We work with universities across Europe to develop algorithms that don’t exist yet, and to apply them where they matter.

Our name
Helenium is a sun-coloured flower from the sunflower family. Its name echoes the Greek hēlios, the sun. Helenium began by harnessing solar energy. And the sun itself shines because of a quantum effect: without quantum tunnelling, the fusion that powers it could not happen.
From solar power to quantum computing, we have always worked with the most fundamental source of energy there is, and turned it into value for business.
